Snake Plant

Snake Plants (Sansevieria) are one of the most popular indoor plants, and for good reason. They're incredibly drought-tolerant, with the ability to go weeks without water in low and medium lighting conditions. They tolerate low light, which is why they're so popular in office buildings, but they will also thrive in bright light. 

Snake plants are available in dozens of varieties, with stiff-sword like leaves colored in bands of green, yellow, and cream. 

According to NASA’s clean air theory, the snake plant is so effective in producing oxygen that if a person were locked in a sealed room with no airflow, they would be able to survive with just 6-8 plants in it.
