Arboria is the largest and most reputable interior plant care firm in Manitoba.

Our lush greenhouses are filled with an impressive inventory of healthy indoor plants year round.  Everything from the tiniest airplants, to small desktop plants, to large atrium specimen trees are readily available for us to install in your plant design.

Beyond our greenhouse, we offer our signature Arboria Green Care service. Our dedicated team of Plant Technicians provide courteous, knowledgeable and professional service to our clients and their plants on a regular schedule.

Having previously operated as Southern Tropic of Plants since 1970, Arboria was transplanted to Shelmerdine Garden Centre Ltd in 2015.  Today, our company enjoys a reputation for quality products and the finest, most comprehensive value and service in the industry.

Meet Our Team

Join Our Team

Arboria is growing fast and we’re seeking Plant Technicians. This position requires an absolute passion for plants and people. Our ideal candidates have experience in the interior plant care industry, however we offer complete training to the right person! We take enormous pride in building long-term relationships while having a lot of fun along the way.

The position is part-time (3 – 4 days per week). We offer competitive wages and compensate for mileage and parking. We provide all equipment.

  • Reliable vehicle, valid drivers licence and insurance

A Day in the Life

There’s lots of driving, heavy lifting (up to forty pounds), bending, walking and sometimes talking. Plant Technicians have a set weekly route, and travel from account to account, caring for indoor plants by watering, fertilizing, cleaning, pruning, rotating, and relocating. This is accomplished while maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
